Dwelling approvals bounced back in February

The Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) has released dwelling approvals data for the month of February. At the national level, the number of dwelling approvals rose by a seasonally adjusted 8.3% to 18,995. The overall increase was broad-based, with both unit & apartment approvals (+10.9%) and detached house approvals (+5.3%) rising.

In the year to February 2017, dwelling approvals fell by a seasonally-adjusted 4.9%, with unit approvals down by 3.8% and detached house approvals down by 5.4%:
