CoreLogic released its auction report yesterday, which revealed another weekend of strong auction conditions, with the national auction clearance rate falling slightly to 77.8% from 78.6% last week, but remained well above the 68.6% recorded in the same weekend last year:

Auction volumes nationally (2,714) were also way above the same weekend last year (2,304).

As shown above, Sydney’s auction clearance rate was 80.5%, just below last weekend’s 81.5% but well above last year’s 68.7%. Auction volumes were also stronger, with 886 homes going under the hammer versus 708 on the same weekend last year:

Melbourne’s auction clearance rate rose to 80.4% versus last weekend’s 80.1%, and was above last year’s clearance rate of 72.1%. Auction volumes were also higher (1,399 versus 1,236):

In Brisbane, the auction clearance rate fell to 59.8% from 63.6% last weekend, and was well above last year’s 50.9%. However, auction volumes were slightly above last year’s (148 versus 133):

Finally, in Adelaide, the clearance rate fell to 69.5% versus 76.3% last weekend, but was up on the same weekend last year (65.9%). Auction volumes were also up on last year (120 versus 99):
