A quiet night on risk markets as traders begin positioning for tonights US NFP print, with the Bank of England overnight not adding to the uncertainty by suggesting slack in the pre-Brexit economy is bigger than expected, which takes the foot off any easing up in easy monetary conditions. Stocks on both sides of the Atlantic put in scratch sessions, more or less after a weak Asian lead.

First to Asia’s session yesterday, where Chinese stock and commodity markets are closed for Chinese New Year for the week.
