Housing finance still decoupled from CoreLogic index

With the release of the ABS’ housing finance data for December, I’ve once again plotted CoreLogic’s dwelling price series against the total value of finance commitments (excluding refinancings) as measured by the ABS.

Note: the ABS’ housing finance data is current to December 2016, whereas CoreLogic’s dwelling values are current to January 2017.
