Here’s one that stumped the economist’s predictions – a surplus!
The November trade balance data came out today from the ABS and its a $1.243 billion surplus vs the expected $550million deficit, breaking a near three year line of deficits. Exports surged up 8% on the prior month.

The Aussie dollar didn’t move much on the move, staying bullish here at 73.40 against USD, but coming back strong against Yen, the AUDJPY pair back up to the 85 handle stopping a two day decline:
