New car sales faded into Christmas

The Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) today released new motor vehicle sales for the month of December, which registered a 0.3% seasonally adjusted rise in the number of sales over the month and a 0.2% increase over the year:

Three jurisdictions reported a increase in new car sales in December and five recorded falls in seasonally adjusted terms.
