Last week’s price action was one of full on exuberance as the Washington swamp was refilled with inflationista appointments to the US cabinet, signalling a doubling down in USD longs. US stocks made another new record high, brushing aside the near certainty that the Fed will raise rates this week in its December meeting, as commodities particularly oil, also rebound and position for an inflationary 2017.
As is usual for Monday morning, I’ll step back and take a bigger picture view of each market, using daily and weekly charts.
