ABS: Annual property price growth falls to 3.5-year lows

The ABS has today released its property price index – incorporating both detached houses and units – which registered a 1.5% rise in home values nationally over the September quarter and a 3.5% gain over the year, a deceleration from the 4.1% annual growth initially reported in the year to June 2016:

It was the lowest annual price growth since the March quarter of 2016.
