Residex: Syd/Melb house prices jump in October

Residex has released its house and unit price results for October, which registered a jump in values over the month as well as a rebound of annual price growth.
According to Residex, house values nationally rose by 1.65% in October to be up 3.05% over the quarter and by 3.78% over the year. By comparison, Australian unit values fell by -0.83% in October to be up 1.06% over the quarter and by 2.23% over the year (see below table).
