Yesterday’s labour force data for Octoberr, released by the ABS, once again highlighted how male workers have borne the brunt of Australia’s labour market adjustment towards services.
In the year to October 2016, male full-time employment declined by 0.8%, whereas part-time employment surged by 8.0%, taking total male jobs growth to an anaemic 0.7% over the year:
