Do-nothing Malcolm very focused on…nothing

From Laura Tingle today:

In an interview with The Australian Financial Review to mark his first year in office, Mr Turnbull said the government’s singular focus from now until the next election would be on the budget and economic reform and that he would not be distracted by such issues as same-sex marriage.

…”Important issue though it is, it is absolutely not the top of my agenda in the way it is for some others,” he said.

…”Top of mind for me are jobs and growth and the critical objective for us is to deliver the economic reform measures, whether it is in the form of savings or whether it is in the form of getting rid of red tape and excessive regulation, lowering business taxes or making super fairer and more sustainable and fit for purpose,” he said.

“That is absolutely the agenda.”

Or absolute lack thereof. It’s a Seinfeld government. All about nothing.
