The great Australian land bubble bulges

CoreLogic has released a new report examining vacant land costs across Australia’s capital cities and regional areas.

According to CoreLogic, the median cost of vacant land across the combined capital cities rose by 8.1% to a record $270,350 in the year to June 2016, versus a 1.9% fall in regional areas to $164,250. The difference between land costs in capital city and regional areas has also hit a near record $106,100 (65%):
