New car sales rise in June

The Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) today released new motor vehicle sales for the month of June, which registered a 3.1% seasonally adjusted jump in the number of sales and a 2.1% increase over the year, with ongoing strong trend growth in NSW reported.

All jurisdictions except SA and TAS reported an increase in new car sales in June in seasonally adjusted terms.
