The bulls are definitely in charge in Asia today, with stocks up across the screen and for a change, the ASX200 is leading the way with a late surge in the session taking it nearly to the crucial 5400 point region. The Shanghai Composite is building on its gains too, currently up 7 points or 0.25% while Japanese stocks continue to rally amid the stimulus speculation, with the Nikkei faring well up nearly 1%

It’s all about commodities, but not necessarily commodity currencies as the AUDUSD slipped below the 76 handle in a smooth glidepath after it topped out in the NY session overnight. Interestingly though, iron ore and copper are up and we await the Chinese trade data this early evening which could send the Pacific Peso moving:
