Australian housing supply failing young and old

The Bankwest Curtin Economics Centre (BCEC) has released a new report today, entitled Keeping a roof over our heads, which features findings from a BCEC Housing Affordability Survey capturing the housing experiences and affordability perceptions of more than 4,300 people across New South Wales, Western Australia and Queensland.

According to these findings, a significant proportion of older Australians (aged 55 and over) feel that there is a lack of suitable and affordable housing options, which is acting as a barrier to them downsizing:
