New car sales fall

The Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) today released new motor vehicle sales for the month of April, which registered a 2.5% seasonally adjusted decline in the number of sales but a 2.4% increase over the year, with ongoing strong trend growth in NSW reported.

All jurisdictions except Victoria and Tasmania posted a decline in new car sales in April in seasonally adjusted terms.
