Developer outrage as VIC planning changes lower site values

In September last year, Melbourne’s planning minister, Richard Wynne, took action to rein-in development, restricting new apartment buildings in the CBD to 24 floors.

At the time, the Property Council expressed outrage that developers who had purchased sites on the expectation of building 40 or more levels would now be left millions of dollars out of pocket.
