Bernard Salt: “Days of big Australia are long gone”

Writing in The Australian today, KPMG’s Bernard Salt – the self proclaimed “unabashed supporter of a bigger Australia” – believes that “the days of ‘big Australia’ are long gone”, which will have profound impacts on Australia’s property markets:

Net overseas migration peaked at 300,000 in the year to June 2009. The number required to deliver the big Australia scenario of 38 million by 2050 is 180,000.
