Auctions clearances rise on weak volumes
Core Logic-RP Data released its auction market report yesterday, which posted another small rise in the national auction clearance rate albeit off weak volumes.
The preliminary national auction clearance rate was 70.0% this week, up from the 68.9% clearance rate recorded last weekend, according to Core Logic-RP Data:

Sydney’s preliminary clearance rate fell by 1.4% to 74.2%, whereas Melbourne’s rose by 0.1% to 70.7%. Clearances in Brisbane, which typically only has a small number of auctions, rose by 4.1% to 55.3%, whereas Adelaide’s preliminary auction clearance rate rose by 2.2% to 70.1%. However, overall auction volumes were to 1,863 compared to 1,824 last week and 2,599 on the same weekend last year:
