Residex: Aussie house prices fell in Q1

Residex has released its home price results for March, which shows that Australian house values rose by 0.55% over the month, but were down 0.13% over the March quarter. Similarly, Australian unit values rose by 0.26% over the month, but were down by 0.89% over the March quarter (see below table).

According to Residex, 17 of Australia’s major dwelling markets recorded negative growth in the March quarter, including Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide.
