NSW drives new car sales higher

The Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) today released new motor vehicle sales for the month of March, which registered a 2.2% seasonally adjusted rise in the number of sales and a 4.2% increase over the year, with ongoing strong growth in the sale of Sports Utility Vehicles (SUVs) reported.

All jurisdictions except WA posted a increase in new car sales in March, with NSW clearly driving sales growth over the year.
