Brisbane’s weak housing recovery

Below is an update on the latest fortnightly State Government statistics on housing transfers and mortgage lodgements for Queensland, along with other housing-related data.

As shown below, the number of housing transfers and mortgage lodgements (including refinancings) in Queensland bottomed in December 2011 and has been rising gradually ever since, commensurate with Queensland housing prices. However, overall activity remains below the 2010 peak:
