Auction clearances rise
Core Logic-RP Data released its auction market report yesterday, which posted another small rise in the national auction clearance rate thanks to a big lift in Sydney.
The preliminary national auction clearance rate was 70.0% this week, up from the 68.6% clearance rate recorded last weekend, according to Core Logic-RP Data:

Sydney’s preliminary clearance rate jumped by 11% to 78.4%, whereas Melbourne’s fell by 0.7% to 71.0%. Clearances in Brisbane, which typically only has a small number of auctions, fell by 12.6% to 40.9%, whereas Adelaide’s preliminary auction clearance rate fell by 6.0% to 59.7%. Overall auction volumes fell, however, to 1542 compared to 1,667 last week:
