Sydney’s abysmal housing affordability back in spotlight

The woeful state of housing affordability in Sydney has once again been thrust into the spotlight with new research from the UNSW’s City Futures Research Centre revealing that the average buyer is locked-out of home ownership in three quarters of Sydney, and that the picture has worsened materially over the past decade. From The AFR:

Ten years ago buyers could comfortably house hunt in swathes of the west, south and north-west for affordable options.
