NSW’s stamp duty party nears its end

The NSW Government continues to make-out like bandits following the circa 40% lift in home prices since mid-2013, along with the circa 30% lift in the number of dwelling transfers:

As a result of these two factors, stamp duty receipts have skyrocketed, jumping by an incredible $3.13 billion (+94%) since June 2013 to $6.47 billion as at February 2016:
