Auction clearances rebound

Core Logic-RP Data released its auction market report yesterday, which posted a strong rebound in the national auction clearance rate after two consecutive weeks of falls.

The preliminary national auction clearance rate was 71.2% this week, up from the 66.4% clearance rate recorded last weekend, according to Core Logic-RP Data:

Sydney’s preliminary clearance rate rose by 3.5% to 75.5%, whereas Melbourne’s was 72.3%, up from 70.5% last weekend. Clearances in Brisbane, which typically only has a small number of auctions, were 55.8%, up from 44.0% recorded last weekend. Adelaide’s preliminary auction clearance rate also strengthened, up from 54.2% last weekend to 68.9%. Overall auction volumes also rose heavily to 3,519 from the 1,426 auctions recorded last weekend:
