Slowly but surely, the rationale behind Australia’s third-world population growth rates are being challenged.

With Australia’s population ticking over to 24 million, and growing fast, former NSW Premier and Minister for Foreign Affairs, Bob Carr, last week called for Australia’s immigration rate to be halved because of the deleterious impacts on housing affordability, infrastructure, and overall livability.
