Residex warns on property

Residex has released its house and unit price results for December, which revealed a 0.65% rise in Australian house values over the month and a 0.83% rise in unit values. Over the year, house values rose by 6.70% nationally, with unit values up by 6.67%:

As shown above, Sydney (18.36% YoY) and Melbourne (13.00% YoY) were the clear drivers of house price growth in 2015, whereas Western Australia (Perth -0.66% YoY; WA country -6.62% YoY) was the sole detractor.
