Auction clearances steady
Core Logic-RP Data released its auction market report yesterday, which posted minimal change in the preliminary national clearance rate.
The preliminary national auction clearance rate was 72.4%, marginally above the 72.3% clearance rate recorded last weekend, according to Core Logic-RP Data:

Sydney’s preliminary clearance rate fell 4.9% to 73.3%, whereas Melbourne’s was 75.0%, up from the 73.0% rate recorded last weekend. Clearances in Brisbane, which typically only has a small number of auctions, were 58.3%, up from the 54.5% recorded last weekend. Whereas Adelaide’s preliminary auction clearance rate strengthened, up from 69.9% last weekend to 72.7%. Overall auction volumes also rose to 2,620 from the 2,215 auctions recorded last weekend:
