Auction clearances steady
Core Logic-RP Data released its auction market report yesterday, which posted no change in the preliminary national clearance rate.
The preliminary national auction clearance rate was 72.3%, exactly the same as that recorded last weekend, according to Core Logic-RP Data:

Sydney’s preliminary clearance rate fell 1.4% to 77.2%, whereas Melbourne’s was 73.0%, down from the 73.6% rate recorded last weekend. Clearances in Brisbane, which typically only has a small number of auctions, were 54.5%, up from the 53.3% recorded last weekend. Whereas Adelaide’s preliminary auction clearance rate softened, down from 81.4% last weekend to 69.9%. However, overall auction volumes (2,215) rose significantly from the 1,331 auctions recorded last weekend:
