Retail sales maintain its uptrend:ABS

The latest Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) Retail Trade figures show that Australian retail turnover rose 0.4 per cent in November 2015 following a rise of 0.6 per cent in October 2015, seasonally adjusted. Only falls recorded were department stores (off 0.8%), while household goods and cafes/restaurants/takeaway led the charge up 1% over the month.

The trend is undeniably up and healthy (if you measure your economy’s health by how much crap it buys).
