Via the Hollywood Reporter comes news that the major Chinese real estate group, Dalian Wanda, has purchased the US based Legendary Entertainment in a multi-billion dollar deal. It seems history is repeating in the Far East..

The agreement marks the first time that a movie studio capable of producing big-budget global blockbusters — Legendary has been involved in such hits as Godzilla, Inception, Jurassic Worldand Pacific Rim — is coming under Chinese ownership. It is also the largest cross-border entertainment acquisition by a Chinese company to date.
