Sydney auction clearances still crashing
Core Logic-RP Data released its auction market report yesterday, which posted another slight fall in the preliminary national clearance rate driven by the ongoing crash in Sydney.
The preliminary national auction clearance rate was 59.2%, down from the 60.1% preliminary rate recorded last weekend, according to Core Logic-RP Data:

Sydney’s preliminary clearance rate fell another 0.7% to 55.6%, whereas Melbourne’s was 63.0%, down from the 65.0% rate recorded last weekend. Clearances in Brisbane, which typically only has a small number of auctions, were 46.6%, down from the 50.0% recorded last weekend. Overall auction volumes (3,209) were down from the 3,469 auctions recorded last weekend:
