The ABS released its Australian demographic statistics for the June quarter of 2015, which revealed that Australia’s population growth rate remained flat, supported by rebounding growth in New South Wales and Victoria, which offset plummeting growth in the two key mining states of Western Australia and Queensland.

According to the ABS, Australia’s population grew by 1.35% in the year to June 2015 – the same as the prior quarter – with population growth remaining just below the 30-year average of 1.38%.
