Origin Energy executive finance director Karen Moses has announced she will not seek another term as director and will retire from the company, in the second withdrawal of a resolution to be voted on ahead of today’s annual meeting in Sydney.

…The company did not say whether the withdrawal of either motion had anything to do with shareholder backlash in the wake of an equity raising at a time when the share price is less than half of what it was a year ago thanks to sliding oil prices and concerns over the high amount of company debt.
