AFG: Investor finance fell hard in Q3

Australian Finance Group (AFG) has released its housing finance data for the September quarter, which registered a fall in mortgage applications, but a solid rise year-on-year.

The number of mortgage applications fell by 4.0% over the September quarter but were up 6.6% over the year, whereas the value of applications fell by 1.4% over the quarter but were up by 15.9% over the year (see next chart).
