RP Data September house prices: Eastern blast, Western freeze

Core Logic-RP Data’s dwelling price results are in for September, with a 0.84% rise in values recorded over the month at the 5-city level, driven by a 2.42% gain in Melbourne (see next chart).

The strong recovery in home values after the usual May seasonal decline continues, with values up by 4.09% over the quarter at the 5-city level, driven by Melbourne’s whopping 7.43% quarterly rise and Sydney’s 4.55% surge (see next chart).
