Population ponzi now confined to Syd and Melb

As noted by Houses & Holes on Friday, the ABS released its Australian demographic statistics for the March quarter of 2015, which revealed that Australia’s population growth rate continues to fall fast, driven by plummeting growth in the two key mining states of Western Australia and Queensland.

According to the ABS, Australia’s population grew by 1.35% in the year to March 2015 – the ninth consecutive quarterly decline in growth. Population growth also fell below the 30-year average of 1.38%.
