There’s been a not unexpected breakout in spot and futures following last week’s holiday and very low volatility, but rebar continues to tell the fundamental story. Indeed, after yesterday’s nasty Chinese trade data print, confirmation of those fundamentals are explicit in the news that iron ore imports into the Middle Kingdom contracted in August.
