QLD’s LNG wind down hammers communities

The Australian ran an interesting article over the weekend profiling the impact being felt across regional centres in Queensland as construction on the three giant LNG projects starts to wind-down:

…Queensland’s $60 billion LNG plants are on track to reach full production by the end of this year. Great ships along Gladstone’s coast are moving gas offshore in volumes that will soon eclipse beef and wheat.

In Queensland’s Surat Basin the communities that rose to the challenge of the most ambitious infrastructure project in the nat­ion’s history are in disarray.
