GST on tampons to stay

Assistant Treasurer, Josh Frydenberg, has revealed in Parliament that the GST on tampons and other “sanitary products” will stay because not all states and territories were on board with the change.

Just last week, New South Wales Treasurer, Gladys Berejiklian, announced that she would not support removing the GST on tampons, arguing instead that a holistic approach to reform is required:
