New car sales jump in June

The Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) today released new motor vehicle sales for the month of June, which registered a 3.8% seasonally adjusted jump in the number of sales, and a 4.0% increase over the year, with strong growth in the sale of Sports Utility Vehicles (SUVs) reported (see next table).
