The Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) today released new motor vehicle sales for the month of June, which registered a 3.8% seasonally adjusted jump in the number of sales, and a 4.0% increase over the year, with strong growth in the sale of Sports Utility Vehicles (SUVs) reported (see next table).
New car sales rose across all jurisdictions, except the Northern Territory, in June.
