The factors holding back infrastructure investment

Fairfax’s Peter Martin has penned another good piece today quoting RBA Governor Glenn Stevens’ call for the Government to lift infrastructure investment in a bid to boost growth and transition the economy away from mining:

While home building and consumer spending are doing all right, mining investment is collapsing, non-mining investment is set to slide (against expectations) and governments, both state and federal, are doing little to help.
