Family feud: why Sydney housing is unaffordable

My cousin, Peter van Onselen, has penned a piece in The Australian today entitled Do the numbers on housing and it’s clear Joe Hockey was right, whereby he has sided with Joe Hockey and tried to claim that Sydney housing is affordable for essential workers, such as teachers and nurses:

The thrust of attacks have been that his remarks ignored the real­ities of hardworking nurses and teachers, for example, who are being priced out of buying a home in the nation’s largest city…
