No early election despite poll “bounce”

From The Australian just now:

The Coalition’s bounce in the latest Newspoll demonstrates the government’s budget has “hit the mark” with voters, but Tony Abbott has “no instinct” for an election this year, Trade Minister Andrew Robb says.

The well-received budget has lifted Tony Abbott’s approval rating to an eight-month high and put him back in front as better prime minister for the first time in six months, according to today’s Newspoll carried out exclusively for The Australian.

Lol. Funny bastards:

Capture

Perhaps there’s no early election because the Newspoll “bounce” was actually a fall for the Coalition.
