Following on from Houses & Holes’ article yesterday, the eastern states are readying for a fight with Treasurer Joe Hockey over the distribution of the GST, pushing back on his proposal to provide Western Australia with a greater share, in contradiction to the Commonwealth Grants Commission’s recommendation to keep the GST distribution formula unchanged.
