It’s always interesting to watch a newly privatised entity turn rent-seeker. And that’s what we have got with Medibank Private, which is lobbying the Government to allow private health insurers to cover the cost of GP services – a move that would line the insurers’ pockets but make ordinary Australians paying higher costs.
