TONY Abbott won’t deny that Julie Bishop refused to safeguard his leadership during a tense private meeting in which the Prime Minister demanded her loyalty.

Mr Abbott, confronted with the Sky News report this morning, gave an evasive interview in which he refused to address “insider Canberra stuff”.

Pressure is now building on the Foreign Minister, Ms Bishop, who is being publicly urged to declare her support for the beleaguered Prime Minister.
