MYEFO reckoning delayed (a little)

Prime Minister Tony Abbott might have delayed the reckoning of Joe Hockey with a press conference scheduled at 12.30 to discuss the siege in Sydney this morning, the same time the Treasurer was going to announce his ominous MYEFO.

No tin foil there of course, as this is a more pressing short term and unrelated matter, but it will take the smell off what maybe an unpleasant forecasted 2015 and beyond, particularly for poorer and younger (but I repeat myself) Australians.

Confirmed: MYEFO announcement postponed “until further notice” by the Treasurer.

Update: MYEFO to be released “later today”, says PM Abbott at press conference.
