TD monthly inflation flat again

Where’s that inflation pulse gone? The TD Securities/Melbourne Institute Inflation Gauge for September has registered just 0.1% for September after zero in August. Year on year is down to 2.2% and the trimmed mean to 2.3%. The carbon tax removal will suppress it further and the trend is clearly down:

The only inflation problem we’ve got is in houses, though the dollar is about about to deliver another a little boost to wider prices.
